Privacy policy
Calyvento is local software. It has no account system, no server and no analytics. This page describes exactly what the app records and where it stays.

What the app records
Calyvento records the following on your own Mac, in a local database inside the app’s container:
- Active and idle time, in minutes.
- The name of the application in the foreground, and how long it was there.
- Whether the microphone was in use, in order to detect a meeting and stay quiet during it.
- Whether the screen was locked or the machine asleep.
- Which exercises you completed and when.
- Your settings, your declared complaints and conditions, and your movement pool.
What the app never records
- Keystrokes, or the content of anything you type.
- Window titles, URLs, or the contents of any page or document.
- Screenshots or any capture of your screen.
- Your files.
- Your location.
- Your name, email address, or any other identifier — the app never asks for one.
Idle detection works by reading a system counter for the number of seconds since the last input event. That counter carries no information about the event. The app can tell that you typed; it cannot tell what you typed.
Where the data goes
Nowhere. In this version the app performs no network request with your data. There is no account, no sync and no telemetry. Your records stay on the Mac that made them, and are removed when you delete the app.
Two optional features are planned for Calyvento Plus: sync between your Macs, and statistics that compare your rhythm with other users’. Neither exists in this version. Purchases
If you subscribe to Calyvento Plus, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Subscription status is verified on your device by the operating system; no request is made to us.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party fonts, scripts or embeds. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. We do not use that data to build a profile of anyone. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site safely (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare may process this data outside the EU; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
If you leave your email address to hear when Calyvento is out — on the Mac App Store, or later on Windows — we store it with the version you chose, the site language and the date; nothing else. It is kept in a database in the EU (Cloudflare D1), used for that one message only, and deleted once the message has gone. You can ask us to delete it sooner. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to [email protected].
If you write to us
When you email us, we receive your address and whatever you put in the message. We use them only to answer you. The conversation is stored with our email provider and deleted at the latest two years after it ends. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
The app holds no data about you on any system of ours, so there is nothing app-related for us to export or erase — deleting the app removes its data from your Mac.
For anything you have sent us, such as an email, you can ask to see it, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
Who is responsible
Yusuf Batuhan Altun, a sole trader registered in Portugal, is responsible for this policy and for the data it describes. The postal address is on the imprint page. For privacy questions, write to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that affects what leaves your Mac — such as the planned sync or statistics — is announced in the app before it takes effect.
